Access to files can boost productivity

Tracking means never having to say, “Where’d I put that?”

Assets and information are important. Access to files can boost productivity, accelerate decision making and improve customer service. Lost files or faulty information can create unacceptable risks, lost business and higher operating costs. Nothing is as frustrating or counterproductive as not being able to put your hands on what you need. From software and hardware selection to implementation and asset conversion – right down to the labels and tags to keep your system going, we can build and support a tracking system that will keep all your stuff right where it’s supposed to be.

Barcode Tracking: Barcode tracking allows items to be checked in and checked out, so you’ll always know who has them. Barcodes can be placed on folders (or any other item) and a reader is used to scan the code every time the file moves. It is easy to implement and a cost-effective solution for accurate tracking and data integrity.

RFID Tracking: Short for Radio-Frequency Identification, RFID works much like barcode tracking, but offers many advantages. RFID tags:

  • can store more information than a bar code
  • don’t need to be ‘seen’ by a code reader.
  • can be read from up to 40 feet away.
  • can be placed in or on most anything (files, equipment, weapons, etc)
  • can give you real-time status, inventory and location updates.

When implemented correctly, RFID tagging can provide you with a comprehensive and powerful level of tracking.
