A Social Services Department had files crowding the workspace, files hastily stacked in a warehouse across the street and worst of all, files in a basement below the water table. When we stepped in to help a county Department of Social Services deal with their records management, there were files everywhere we looked.

We implemented a new file numbering system, provided four people to run a local and off-site file room operation and (perhaps most importantly) developed a procedure for them to purge and securely shred files that are no longer needed. We’ve helped them get rid of so much paper, we even scan all incoming mail and email it to the recipient.
