A Department Store Chain was caught between the cost of installing new and expensive credit card terminals in low-volume stores or losing money due to an inability to produce physical credit card receipts when needed. When an attempt to implement a comprehensive scanning and databasing operation failed, we stepped in.
Instead of digitizing individual receipts, we built a system based around bundles of receipts coded by register, location and date. Now when a slip is needed, the technology directs a real person to the correct bundle. Then the slip is scanned and emailed. This thoughtful combination of technology and humanity allows us to solve an expensive problem faster for less
